  1. During October Executive Committee meeting, all of the elected officers of our party resigned (Chairman, 1st Vice Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer.) At the meeting, the remaining members of the Exec committee elected Chairman Pro Tem and Secretary Pro Tem. I am a member of this organization, but not an officer. Per the Bylaws, the process to hold an election for the officers take a period of time. Bylaws require a · formal nomination period, · Town Hall discussion for nominees to present themselves before the Central Committee membership and · finally, a special meeting for just the election of Officers. During this period, before the election of Officers, what are the duties, responsibilities, and limitations of chairman Pro Tem? Our bylaws are silent on this issue. For example 1. Can Chairman Pro Tem change the rules for Membership of the organization? 2. Can the Chairman Pro Tem set a new schedule for future meeting of Executive committee or Central Committee Member meetings? 3. Can Chairman Pro Tem present Bylaw Changes? 4. Can chairman Pro Tem Appoint Officers? Article 4 Officers.docx

    Secretary pro tem

The board secretary was absent at our board meeting today and I was elected Secretary pro tem, since I am responsible for taking the minutes at all meetings anyway. My question is related to the signing of the minutes. As Secretary pro tem do I sign the minutes of the previous meeting which the board approved today while I was the acting Secretary, or do I sign the minutes of the meeting for which I was the acting Secretary (today's meeting)?
