Guest Steve S. Posted March 28, 2011 at 10:21 PM Report Share Posted March 28, 2011 at 10:21 PM Hey, I hope someone can help... I have been around Parlimentary Procedures for many years. As I understand it, when a member says, "I call the question" that effectively ends debate and the body procedes to vote. Is that correct or not? Thanks! Guest Steve S. Posted March 28, 2011 at 10:32 PM Report Share Posted March 28, 2011 at 10:32 PM Okay, found it. Thanks! To answer your question, though it may have been retorical, yes it would be odd to have one person end debate. Yet that's why I appreciate this message board so I can clear up the obvious mis-understanding I had about that particular procedure. Have a great day!
