No quorom for Election

We were supposed to have an election but did not have a quoroum for the meeting. What is the status of the offices? Do we have to have an emergency meeting or can we wait until the next regular meeting date for the election?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

It's water under the bridge at this point, but the assembly at the inquorate meeting could have adjourned the meeting to a future time (sort of the equivalent of the 'emergency meeting' you're thinking of, but without any need for the whole special meeting machinery). If your bylaws authorize special meetings, you could indeed call one to conduct the election, as Dr. Stackpole already pointed out. As for the status of the officers, if the definition of the term of office contains the phrase 'until their successors are elected' or something with equivalent meaning, then they're still in... until successors are actually elected. If the term of office definition just says 'two years' or 'June 1 to May 31' or something like that, they're out.

When is your next regular meeting?
