rhammar Posted January 28, 2013 at 06:34 PM Report Share Posted January 28, 2013 at 06:34 PM A charitable organization uses nominating ballots as its method of nomination of officers. Historically, the charity permits each member to nominate one person for each office. A member has indicated that he intends to nominate several candidates for each office. The bylaws do not address the issue. Would RONR permit multiple nominations by one member on a nominating ballot?
Chris Harrison Posted January 28, 2013 at 06:38 PM Report Share Posted January 28, 2013 at 06:38 PM RONR p. 432 ll. 13-14 says:In no event may a member nominate more persons than there are places to fill.So if the officer being elected is President he can only nominate one person. On the other hand, say that you all are electing 7 Board members, he can nominate up to 7 people.

Gary Novosielski Posted January 28, 2013 at 07:35 PM Report Share Posted January 28, 2013 at 07:35 PM That is my understanding. Then your understanding would appear to match RONR p. 432 ll. 13-14. And that's a good thing.
