Guest nancy p Posted June 16, 2014 at 02:03 PM Report Share Posted June 16, 2014 at 02:03 PM Is it possible for a board of directors to vote via email?
jstackpo Posted June 16, 2014 at 02:26 PM Report Share Posted June 16, 2014 at 02:26 PM If the bylaws authorize it, yes. Those bylaws had better have some thought out rules to avoid problems. Problem 1: How do you know that the e-mail vote is really from member Charlie?
Edgar Guest Posted June 16, 2014 at 02:36 PM Report Share Posted June 16, 2014 at 02:36 PM Problem 2: Charlie swears he sent his e-mail vote but whomever he sent it to swears he never received it.
jstackpo Posted June 16, 2014 at 02:43 PM Report Share Posted June 16, 2014 at 02:43 PM And #3: You get two e-mail votes from Bill. Which one is really from Bill and which was spoofed by Charlie (who voted with his own name earlier) in an attempt to stuff the ballot box? Or did Bill just change his mind and send in a changed vote? Or maybe Bill is attempting (rather obviously) to stuff the box. Had enough?
