Guest Susan Smith Posted October 31, 2014 at 01:17 AM Report Share Posted October 31, 2014 at 01:17 AM This is a two-part question regarding minutes from Executive Sessions.1. Where should these records be stored?2. Is the current BOD permitted access to the previous year's minutes of Executive Sessions if there is still a disciplinary issue that has not been solved?Thank you. Hieu H. Huynh Posted October 31, 2014 at 01:28 AM Report Share Posted October 31, 2014 at 01:28 AM The minutes should be kept in a substantial book or binder. Any member of the board has a right to examine the minutes of an executive session of the board.

So far as RONR is concerned, all members of the board (and no one else) have a right to review the minutes of all board meetings. So the minutes of meetings held in executive session could be kept in the same place as other minutes. If it is the board's practice to release most of its minutes to those who are not members of the board, then it would be prudent to keep minutes of meetings held in executive session separately. 2. Yes.
