J. J. Posted February 26, 2015 at 03:07 AM Report Share Posted February 26, 2015 at 03:07 AM At the start if the meeting the presiding officer isn't there and the vice president calls the meeting to order. At some point the president shows up. Should that be noted in the minutes. After presiding for a bit, the president leaves, turning the chair over to the vice president. Should that be noted in the minutes?
Richard Brown Posted February 26, 2015 at 03:15 AM Report Share Posted February 26, 2015 at 03:15 AM Based on what is said on page 468 at lines 33-35 and on page 472 at lines 7 and 8, I think all three "occurrences" should be noted in the minutes. However, I don't think it is mandatory, but it seems to be what RONR suggests. I imagine that you are going somewhere with this, though, and that we should stay tuned for some interesting twists. George Mervosh Posted February 26, 2015 at 02:47 PM Report Share Posted February 26, 2015 at 02:47 PM I agree that those occurrences should be entered, including the fact the VP was in the chair when the meeting was called to order.

I agree that who is presiding when the meeting is called to order should be included. I was wondering about the chair presiding and leaving. Dan Honemann Posted February 26, 2015 at 02:56 PM Report Share Posted February 26, 2015 at 02:56 PM I agree that the minutes should reflect any changes that occur during the course of the meeting in the identity of either the presiding officer or the secretary, but I don't suppose the world will come to an end if they don't.
