Guest charlotte wasserman Posted May 29, 2015 at 07:14 PM Report Share Posted May 29, 2015 at 07:14 PM Should motions regarding contracts with vendors state the vendor name, the service being provided, the length of time and the cost involved and written into the minutes as such? Bruce Lages Posted May 29, 2015 at 07:23 PM Report Share Posted May 29, 2015 at 07:23 PM That's a question for a contract lawyer - RONR doesn't address such issues. Edited to add: Of course the exact language of whatever motion is adopted does go into the minutes.
Edgar Guest Posted May 29, 2015 at 07:58 PM Report Share Posted May 29, 2015 at 07:58 PM I would think that the motion to award the contract might be much less detailed than the contract itself. On the other hand, some contracts consist of nothing more than a handshake. So I guess the answer is that the motion, and the contract, should be as detailed as the parties involved want them to be.
