Is a Third Term an Issue?

The answer to that question depends on the precise wording of your bylaws regarding term limits.... and how our organization interprets that language.

For example, if the bylaws prohibit someone from "serving" in a particular office for more than two consecutive terms, then she is likely prohibited from serving.  But, if the language provides that no one shall be a "candidate" for that office after having served two consecutive terms, she might eligible for an appointment.  It is ultimately up to your organization to interpret its own bylaws.

btw,  I assume you are talking about an office other than that of president.
