Guest Lucy Posted June 21, 2016 at 10:33 PM Report Share Posted June 21, 2016 at 10:33 PM If the by-laws do not prohibit it, may a member of the assembly nominate herself to a position on a separate entity that requires appointment of a member by the assembly? (The intent of this question is on the prospect of an individual nominating himself. Rules allow members of the appointing assembly to serve on the entity to which the appointment is being made.) jstackpo Posted June 21, 2016 at 11:02 PM Report Share Posted June 21, 2016 at 11:02 PM Sure -- it is commonly called "volunteering". But it might "look" better if the person wishing to be nominated to the position could find a friend to actually nominate him/her (presuming he/she has any friends -- -- if not, well, she probably won't get very many votes ... )
