parkourninja Posted June 28, 2016 at 04:30 PM Report Share Posted June 28, 2016 at 04:30 PM I am a little confused with the wording on pages 175-176. If an assembly appoints its own committee members but does not explicitly state the committee chairman, does the first person named automatically get the title or are they in all cases only the temporary chairman (to call the committee meeting) and the committee selects its own chairman? Richard Brown Posted June 28, 2016 at 04:42 PM Report Share Posted June 28, 2016 at 04:42 PM When the chair appoints the members, the first person he names is the (permanent) chairman. When the assembly itself selects the members, and if no chairman is named, the first member selected has the duty of calling the first meeting of the committee and to act as chairman until a permanent chairman is selected.
