Dan Honemann Posted September 3, 2016 at 06:50 PM Report Share Posted September 3, 2016 at 06:50 PM Some organizations, such as the 2FP, have rules requiring it, while others, such as the NAP, are only in need of them.

No. That issue is not covered by Robert's Rules of Order. *** Your org is free to adopt a standing rule to address that issue. -- e.g., "Resolved, That the consumption of alcohol is not allowed during meetings." jstackpo Posted September 4, 2016 at 12:05 AM Report Share Posted September 4, 2016 at 12:05 AM Some of the most efficient business meetings I have attended (as a parliamentarian) came before the bar was opened. Some of the most inefficient and rowdiest meetings were scheduled after the bar had been open a while. Draw your own conclusions.
