Guest Margaret Posted March 8, 2017 at 08:37 PM Report Share Posted March 8, 2017 at 08:37 PM What is the correct terminology to use when recording in the minutes that the board treasurer has presented his report? Does he/she move that the report by accepted, approved or received? Thank you.
Joshua Katz Posted March 8, 2017 at 08:44 PM Report Share Posted March 8, 2017 at 08:44 PM There should be no motion related to the treasurer's report. If the report has been audited, the auditor's report should be adopted. Otherwise, the treasurer should just be thanked.
Tom Coronite Posted March 8, 2017 at 08:58 PM Report Share Posted March 8, 2017 at 08:58 PM For your 1st question, on the minutes, RONRIB gives an example on p147-8. "Reports were given by President Darian Will, Vice-President Roxana Arthur....Treasurer Jose Rhinehart...." So it looks like "A report by Treasurer Joe Bag-o-donuts was given" would be a way to go, assuming no motions were in the report.
