Kim Martin Posted May 19, 2017 at 04:35 PM Report Share Posted May 19, 2017 at 04:35 PM If a subject that was discussed in executive session comes up in the regular meeting by someone who was not at the meeting who may or may not be aware of the executive session discussion, can it be discussed? George Mervosh Posted May 19, 2017 at 04:50 PM Report Share Posted May 19, 2017 at 04:50 PM Sure, as long as no one who was in the meeting held in executive session reveals what was said during it. That could prove tricky. As an aside, in a regular assembly, discussion isn't permitted without a pending motion.

Alexis Hunt Posted May 19, 2017 at 06:36 PM Report Share Posted May 19, 2017 at 06:36 PM 1 hour ago, Kim Martin said: If a subject that was discussed in executive session comes up in the regular meeting by someone who was not at the meeting who may or may not be aware of the executive session discussion, can it be discussed? The assembly could go into executive session to inform the absent member what happened, then leave to resume consideration of the matter at hand. Or the member could be informed privately, since the secrecy of an executive session prohibits non-members from being told what happened, not absent members.
