genny Posted June 22, 2010 at 01:18 AM Report Share Posted June 22, 2010 at 01:18 AM The main purpose of our club is to hold a function every year. We have committees that are assigned by the board to accomplish this. At our last meeting the president was absent and so was the function chairperson. The members that were present voted to change the venue of our next function by moving it to another date and location even though contracts are out for venders at our usual date and location. My position is that this should be a board decision and not the general membership. Can we resend the vote? Otherwise, we could be sued by the people that hold the contracts.
