  1. Is it possible to file a petition of no confidence against only part of a board of directors. We are dealing with a touchy situation with a board with an even number for the time being. 3 are voting one way and 3 the other. three are doing a great job, 3 are not.. Or does it have to be individual?
  2. Still dealing with the even number board. Some say that RRO says that a president should only vote to break a tie. Is that true and if so, where is that located. I am sorry, I just can't find it... not being lazy. Nothing in the club by laws deal with this, but was told that if the by laws are silent about something then RRO takes precedent.
  3. Yes the president resigned and the by laws state that the vice president moves up. Now to replace the vp the board of directors has to pick. but they can't... there are an even number.
  4. I belong to a club that is run by a board of directors. Very little is ever voted on by the membership other than electing a new board. Recently the president resigned and as per the bylaws the vice president was moved up to president. That leaves 6 on the board. Per the rules they asked for members to submit resumes for the vice president position. two have done so and it is a stalemate as 3 are voting for one and 3 for the other. No one will give up. This is a problem in itself, but the fact that there is an even number on the board has caused even further problems. There is a large complaint filed against one of the board members and she is being allowed to vote on whether to uphold this complaint and possibly be removed from the board. Is there anything in RRO that says a board member should not be allowed to vote on a situation that involves them? with her voting on this problem it makes 3 against 3 again and nothing can be decided.
