I am a member of a Society who recently held an extraordinary meeting to amend our bylaws. Our bylaws require a 75% approval of the members who vote to do so. The chair called the vote, declared a majority and that it had passed. Members voted for and against, however the numbers were not recorded by the chair. The appearance is that the chair passed the motion based on a simple majority as opposed to a 75% vote. What is the proper procedure to rectify this?
