Is it possible for the President, Treasurer and board of directors to appoint those officers>

The election must still be held. Write-in votes are permitted. In the event that the election cannot be completed, the election should be postponed to the next regular meeting (or an adjourned meeting) and held at that time. You should then see what your bylaws say about the term of office. If the bylaws provide that officers serve until their successors are elected, the current Vice President and Secretary will continue to serve. If not, the positions will become vacant. 2 hours ago, Guest Ed Martin said: Is it possible for the President, Treasurer and board of directors to appoint those officers> If the bylaws provide that the board of directors may fill vacancies, and the positions become vacant, then the board may elect a Vice President and Secretary, however, the people that the board elects will only serve until the membership completes the election. Additionally, if the position of Secretary is vacant, the board may elect a Secretary Pro Tempore at each of its meetings until the position is filled, even if the board does not have the power to fill vacancies.
