Guest Craig Posted December 19, 2017 at 01:25 AM Report Share Posted December 19, 2017 at 01:25 AM If you have a motion on the floor and someone offers amendments to it, after you have voted on the amendments, do you then vote on the original motion or vote on the "amended" motion. Gary Novosielski Posted December 19, 2017 at 01:29 AM Report Share Posted December 19, 2017 at 01:29 AM It depends on the result of the vote on the amendments. If the amendment passes, you then vote on the motion as amended. If it doesn't, you vote on the motion as it was before the amendment was offered. Greg Goodwiller, PRP Posted December 19, 2017 at 01:29 AM Report Share Posted December 19, 2017 at 01:29 AM If an amendment is adopted, then you continue to debate the motion as it has been amended. It may be further amended. Eventually, you vote on the motion as it has been perfected by any (and all adopted) amendments.
