Benjamin Geiger Posted March 19, 2018 at 07:25 AM Report Share Posted March 19, 2018 at 07:25 AM There seems to be a rash of 'thread necromancy' these days; that is, people are posting replies to long-dead threads, bringing them back to life, as it were. Some forum software includes an option to automatically disable replies to a discussion that hasn't been posted to in a given amount of time. Does the software running this forum have that option? If so, perhaps threads that have been inactive for some time (a month or two, perhaps) could be automatically locked, to force new discussions instead of reviving old ones? That's an interesting suggestion. I don't know if the feature is available, but maybe it's not so bad to take a trip down Memory Lane every once in a while. :-)
