susan defazio Posted April 18, 2018 at 02:38 PM Report Share Posted April 18, 2018 at 02:38 PM I serve as Treasurer on a non-profit board. At our last meeting, both the president & vice-president resigned. We have no succession plan in place. Who serves as the interim president? Secretary, Financial Secretary or Treasurer? No one serves as “interim President” unless your bylaws so provide. Until a new President is elected, you have no President. Until a new President is elected, the Secretary will call meetings to order and preside over an election for a Chairman Pro Tempore, who will preside for the duration of the meeting.
