Guest Tom Posted May 19, 2010 at 08:38 PM Report Share Posted May 19, 2010 at 08:38 PM If a Board discusses and votes on an Agenda and one member recuses himself from the item due to a conflict of interest, if the Board votes to re-open the item at a later meeting can the Board member who recused himself on this topic previously be allowed to participate in the vote the second time around? Therefore, swaying votes prior to voting.He can but he probably shouldn't. When he agreed to be the chair he agreed to maintain the appearance of impartiality.
