Guest Help please Posted May 8, 2015 at 06:42 PM Report Share Posted May 8, 2015 at 06:42 PM Robert's Rules (revised, 11th edition) is named in our by-laws as the rules that will govern our meetings. There are board members in the group that have never learned the rules and have been using a cherry-picked, barely-there version for years now, and sure to offer up varying degrees of resistance as they are (finally) implemented. Any suggestions on how to deal with dissent and refusal to learn the rules?
Richard Brown Posted May 8, 2015 at 06:50 PM Report Share Posted May 8, 2015 at 06:50 PM You can try getting them all a copy of RONR in Brief... only $7.50 and a great primer on Robert's Rules. At least the basics are there in an easy to understand format. http://www.robertsrules.com/inbrief.html Make sure that you and the president, at least, have a copy of "the right book"... the "real thing"....
