a committee member on a committee made of ex-officio members (all members by virtue of their elected position) is refusing to participate with the committee because it is not specifically listed in the duties outlined for his appointed position (Division Rep).
Article VIII Committees
C. The Ethics Committee shall consist of the ten Division Representatives and whose duties it shall be to:
1. elect a Chairperson,
2. confidentially investigate disciplinary problems,
3. introduce all necessary resolutions,
4. in the event of a trial, manage the case for the Society, conduct the trial, report its recommended disciplinary measures to the Board and, if deemed necessary, to the Society membership

B. Division Representatives shall:
1. Represent their respective division on matters related to Society and communicate with said division members regularly,
2. contact their Division members within ten days of election or appointment,
3. provide monthly updates to Division members,
4. provide feedback on training from their Division members
5. bring matters to the Board relating to their Division members,
6. serve on the Election Committee, and
7. attend a minimum of three preseason scrimmages to work games, observe, critique, and help officials improve their court mechanics
