It does state further with regards to time in office etc. but doe not state the specifics of accepting the resignation. My thought is to hold an Executive meeting to officially make a motion to accept the resignation in order to satisfy any reprecussion and then proceed with a special election to fill the vacancy.

It only states that "An officer who wishes to resign must present his/her resignation in writing to the President or to the Secretary of the Club."

What is the proper protocol for an Executive Committee to accept the resignation of an elected officer and the proper procedure to replace that person?
