Yes, I've read it many times. The great thing about the Kindle app for RONR is the search feature which has been enormously helpful during this process.

The constitution and bylaws of our organization is slowly being updated. I am in the process of drafting an amendment to add language that will establish the first standing committee (assuming the 2/3 vote in favor) and have provided the following information: Name of the standing committee Purpose Membership Meetings Quorum Vacancies I've been asked by an amendment review committee to change Purpose to Duty to match existing language for the Board (Duties and Powers...) In searching RONR 12th edition - duties and powers seem to be associated with officers, while purpose seems to be associated with committees. I'm very new to Robert's Rules so any guidance would be much appreciated.
