  1. The constitution states "a motion may be received on the floor of the convention but to be received must receive ratification of a two-thirds majority vote of voting members at the meeting" Does this mean there needs to be a 2/3 majority vote to start debate (by being received) or just a 2/3 majority vote to pass the motion? Thanks in advance!
  2. We are running an AGM for a Faculty Association. It has been stated that any motions from the floor under 'New Business' must be about governance and not operational issues. However, I do not see this in the Constitution. Does Robert's Rules of Order limit the kind of motions that can be introduced under New Business?
  3. We are having a contentious AGM. A member submitted a constitutional amendment well prior to the meeting but later withdrew their amendment before the meeting started. The Seconder was not notified. Is it required to notify the seconder?
