  1. The following administrative powers were (strangely) included in our 501c3's new/first Bylaws earlier this year. We are a public middle school PTO. Only the 5th/last of these seems reasonable to me. Policies -- Seek input and approval of school administration on all matters. Funding -- Fundraising efforts beyond dues must be approved by administration. Elections of Executive Committee -- Filling mid year vacancies requires administration approval. Special Meetings -- Administration may, on his/her own, call a special meeting. Treasurer Duties

    How long should the President wait to write a written statement after Veto an item on the Agenda.

    President VETO

    Recent a bill went on the floor after second reading status and the senate motioned to move it to be tabled indefinitely. The Roberts Rules of order state that a legislation that has been passed can be vetoed. Can a bill tabled indefinitely be overturned/vetoed by the president?
  4. The President wants to be given authority by the council to inter into and sign a loan agreement with a specific bank. The council refuses to give him the authority, stating the reasons thereto. The President countered that he will veto the refusal of the council. Can he do the veto when there is no measure passed?
