hmtcastle Posted February 19, 2011 at 02:22 PM Report Share Posted February 19, 2011 at 02:22 PM If an organization has a Project committee, should the proposed projects be presented to the full organization to go into the minutes then sent to committee to prioritize or select the projects? The minutes would only note that the committee's report was given at the meeting. The report itself is simply filed; it is not included in the minutes. Of course any motions arising from the report would be recorded in the minutes, just as any motion would. How often the committee reports to the organization, and how much independent authority it has, depends on the particulars of the situation. Some committees have authority to act; some do not.
tctheatc Posted February 19, 2011 at 03:51 PM Report Share Posted February 19, 2011 at 03:51 PM If an organization has a Project committee, should the proposed projects be presented to the full organization to go into the minutes then sent to committee to prioritize or select the projects?Who's proposing? Is it the organization proposing projects and then referring them to the committee? If so, what is specifically referred to the committee should be in the minutes of the organization's meeting.Or are you referring to a committee which proposes projects to the assembly? If that, then H.Wm has covered that.
