Can the President dis-appoint a chairman?

Does the President have the power to remove a chairman that she appointed? Our bylaws state that she can appoint members of standing committees; to create such other committees and appoint members thereof as she deems advisable; to perform such other duties as custom and parliamentary usage require, and to appoint all chairman not otherwise provided for, with the approval of the Executive Committee or unit.

Would that still be the case even though the Chairman is appointed "with the approval of the Executive Committee or unit"? Why wouldn't the Executive Committee or unit be involved in the removal as well?

But the bylaws don't say that.

If they did, it would be subject to interpretation. I'd tend to think that removal might not require any approval, but I could argue either side of that.

"with" the approval, not "subject to" the approval of the unit. Seems that assembly would have to decide what that meant.

But the cited section of RONR seems to give two choices: a single person having the power, or the assembly. Beyond that, it's got to be provided for in the bylaws, so it's up to them to decide of the president's power is mitigated by the "with the approval" which applies to the appointment.
