Sorry, the website wouldn't let me respond to my previous question...

Thank you for your response! If you don't mind, may I ask one more.

The president put the question before the board and nobody agreed with it, so nobody offered support to take it to vote. We assume the question just dies, is that correct?

Generally speaking, if a motion does not receive a second it "dies for lack of a second" and the chair moves on to the next item of business. However, in small board meetings (about a dozen or fewer members in attendance) motions do not require a second, so it would have been proper for the chair to state the question after it was moved.
