Josh Martin Posted May 2, 2011 at 06:13 PM Report Share Posted May 2, 2011 at 06:13 PM If a past president who is currently sitting on the board is nominated for another position on the board, but not successful in the election, do they resume their position as Past President?Nothing in RONR prohibits someone from holding more than one office. So he remains Past President regardless of what happens in the election. There's nothing to "resume" as he never stopped being Past President. Rev Ed Posted May 2, 2011 at 06:28 PM Report Share Posted May 2, 2011 at 06:28 PM Unless a new person is elected President, in which case the outgoing President becomes Immmediate Past President, which I beleive is the position you mean. Anyone who was President is a Past President - but not all may be on the Board in that position.
