If the Bylaws require a ballot vote and do not provide an exception for uncontested elections, a ballot vote must be taken, and a motion to accept the nominees is out of order. If the bylaws require a ballot vote, then a ballot vote is mandatory, and this rule may not be suspended.If the bylaws permit a ballot vote to be dispensed with for unopposed elections, a motion is not needed.
