mstrickland Posted May 18, 2011 at 02:13 PM Report Share Posted May 18, 2011 at 02:13 PM We have a slate of officers that will be presented to the Board for election. The slate is the current officers. Who presents the slate of officers - the nominating committee Chair - the current president? Is the floor opened for nominations? Is the floor opened for nominations? The nominating committee makes its report (best not to call it a "slate") and then nominations from the floor are accepted. Members are also free to "write in" a vote for someone who wasn't nominated.
Guest Clark Van Hekken Posted May 24, 2011 at 06:16 PM Report Share Posted May 24, 2011 at 06:16 PM Question: Must a Board Member resign before he can run for a different office on the same Board or can he for example stay Treasurer until he finds out the election results when he runs for Vice-President? In fact it makes perfect sense to see how the election turns out before making any important decisions.
