In our association, we have in our constitution that all associate members will be reviewed by the board and officers to determine whether they will be retained for another year. This year, for the first time, we had 4 people who received a majority vote of the officers and board members to not be retained. A few people in the membership want to know how each person voted. In all of our voting processes, it is always done in a manner so that everyone's vote is only known by them. We are following that same practice in this instance.

Does the vote of each board and officer have to be made known according to Robert rules of order?

No. If they voted by ballot, it is out of order force the disclosure any member voted (p. 399).

If the vote was recorded, the assembly can order the minutes read, by a 2/3 vote, a majority with previous notice, or a majority of the entire membership (p. 470).
