Guest paul cassidy Posted June 6, 2011 at 09:56 PM Report Share Posted June 6, 2011 at 09:56 PM Are sub-committee members automatically members of the main committee? In our Florida Condo Owners Association, there is a requirement (normal) that the main Board of Directors approves the addition of members to committees (this is for liability insurance reasons)There is an opinion (among some members) that if a committee (with BOD approval) organizes a sub-committee, then all members of the sub-committee are automatically members of the 'parent' committee. This does not make sense when related to the BOD approval process for committee (and surely also sub-committee) members.

See RONR (10th ed.), p. 480, ll. 11-17.Edited the "unless..." clause.
