Removal of An Advisor

I just became a President of my community college. We have a handbook for our by-laws, in it, it states that all topics not covered by it will be refered to Roberts Rules of Order. There is an advisor to one of the campus' SGA(Student Government Association), who has shown incompetence and neglegence for years. Was wondering if Roberts Rules has anything about removal of an advisor?

If the advisor is an elected officer, you should consult FAQ#20.

If the advisor is appointed, then the group/individual who appointed him/her can likely remove him by appointing someone else to the position.

If the advisor is an employee, then the group or individual who appointed him may have the power to fire him, subject to any applicable employment agreements.

However, check your bylaws for the details.
