Guest Chrissie Posted June 13, 2011 at 02:12 PM Report Share Posted June 13, 2011 at 02:12 PM Has anyone ever heard of destroying ballots after an election? A homeowner at a recent HOA meeting brought it up but I have never heard of destroying ballots after a meeting. We hold onto them after the meeting and file them away in the community records.Thanks. jstackpo Posted June 13, 2011 at 03:19 PM Report Share Posted June 13, 2011 at 03:19 PM A suggestion: (not in RONR)De-clutter your "community records" by destroying the ballots after the term(s) of those elected on those ballots have been completed. At that point the only (real) reason for keeping ballots around (securely, one trusts!), a "recount", is moot.
