I chaired a meeting yesterday. After the business at hand for which the meeting was called i adjourned the meeting without a motion. Is the meeting still active? How do I go about adjourning the meeting?

No problem. If there is truly no further business to come before the meeting, the chair can simply declare the meeting adjourned.
