Guest bass34445 Posted July 6, 2011 at 05:35 AM Report Share Posted July 6, 2011 at 05:35 AM Our by laws state " To run for the Board of directors , the member must have been a member in good standing, for at least (1) year and attended at least (12) meetings in the year prior to the election" now our nominations are the third wed in july and our elections are the first wed in August. Could someone take a nomination without having the 12 meetings at nominations?
jstackpo Posted July 6, 2011 at 10:32 AM Report Share Posted July 6, 2011 at 10:32 AM It would seem so to me. The "12" requirement applies to elections, not nominations, per your bylaws.I trust you define "attend" precisely in your bylaws.
