Wyatt Posted July 9, 2011 at 06:33 PM Report Share Posted July 9, 2011 at 06:33 PM In an Home Owner Association may members attend regular monthly meetings understanding they may make no comment or enter in the discussions unless called on by the board? I understand the board can call special meetings to discuss topics not open to the members and those special meeting may not be attended by a member. In the regular board meetings may a member tape record those meetings or even video those proceedings?

The board may invite non-members to attend a board meeting, and when they do, the visitors are obliged to obey the orders of the board about speaking, recording, etc., etc.

If so, they do, of course, take precedence.

Wyatt Posted July 12, 2011 at 10:36 PM Author Report Share Posted July 12, 2011 at 10:36 PM Again, my question is can home owners in an association attend regular monthly meetings of the board? They have no parlimentary rights but may they attend for observation only?

Wyatt Posted July 12, 2011 at 10:39 PM Author Report Share Posted July 12, 2011 at 10:39 PM We have checked and found no regulations in the by laws that restrick owners from attending regular monthly meetings. With no restrictions in the by laws, may an owner attend those meetings as an observer onlys?
