What does Robert's say about Breach of Board Confidentialty? What action can be taken in response of such action? Thank you.
George Mervosh Posted July 11, 2011 at 04:43 PM Report Share Posted July 11, 2011 at 04:43 PM Unless the secrecy of business conducted in Executive Session was breached, nothing. If the action damaged the association in some way the members can punish the offender (RONR, Section 20)
Rev Ed Posted July 11, 2011 at 10:23 PM Report Share Posted July 11, 2011 at 10:23 PM Hold on. First how bad was this breach? If it was something dealing with an issue taken up under Executive Session, or under a rule of the organization whereby it could not be made public, then the member should be disciplined. Otherwise, I'd make sure there is an objective reason that members may understand. I have seen issues like this blow up and there is more grieve over something like this.
