Guest Kicha Posted August 7, 2011 at 06:56 PM Report Share Posted August 7, 2011 at 06:56 PM Hi,I am part of the Board of Directors of a non-profit organization (church). As part of office bearers nomination process, one of the directors nominated a full time employee who is also on the Board for the Chairperson position. Before proceeding with the process, it was determined to make sure that enough internal procedures will be put in place to take care of "conflict of interest". However, I would like to understand from the experiences of others, whether it is legally allowed for a Board Chairperson of a non-profit (church) organization to also be a full time paid employee?Thank you for your guidance.RegardsKicha
David A Foulkes Posted August 7, 2011 at 07:15 PM Report Share Posted August 7, 2011 at 07:15 PM No rule in RONR prevents it. Whether it's "legal" or not, you'll have to ask a lawyer.
