Guest Sue Zeman Posted August 20, 2011 at 12:59 PM Report Share Posted August 20, 2011 at 12:59 PM In a prior board meeting, a motion was made and approved by the board. Does this motion have to be brought before the larger group for approval or is it just required that the motion that was approved is noted and presented to the larger group? Not all motions adopted by a board need be reported to the membership at all, much less brought before it for its approval.

Check the bylaws to see if the board can act on its own in this certain matter or if it requires further approval.
