Our President is removing E-board members without the body's consent. What are our options as members?

Basically we are not in session right now. Elections happened before we took a recess but right now he is removing officers that he doesn't like. Now he is appointing people to these vacant positions. I feel this is not valid so what can we do to try and reverse this? Will it even stand at our first meeting?

Unless the bylaws give your president those "removal" powers, his attempted actions are indeed improper and invalid.

First step is show up at the meeting and let him know that he isn't going to be a dictator.

Or get a new president.

If you want to remove the President, double check the organization's By-laws (you better look at them anyway to make sure that the President does not have these powers) to see what they state about removing officers and directors. If they are silent, or state that you follow RONR, then read Chapter XX of RONR.

If the By-laws give him this power, change the By-laws.
