Guest Edgar Posted October 19, 2011 at 12:24 AM Report Share Posted October 19, 2011 at 12:24 AM Who can attend Local meetings? Can a Union member who has been terminated from place of employment, but with an active grievance going through arbitration with employer, still participate in and attend Local General membership meetings? As far as RONR is concerned, only members of the body that is meeting (in this case, presumably, only members of this local) have a parliamentary right to attend, speak, and vote. Non-members may be invited to attend and speak (but never vote) as the assembly (the members present) wishes. But note that this organization may be subject to other rules and laws that would supersede (override) RONR.
