Rob Elsman Posted October 26, 2011 at 12:48 AM Report Share Posted October 26, 2011 at 12:48 AM No. If the report does not recommend any action, what motion would be needed?
Tim Wynn Posted October 26, 2011 at 01:17 AM Report Share Posted October 26, 2011 at 01:17 AM Is is true that a committee report is automatically a motion?Elizabeth W.East Lansing, MichiganThat is not true. It's a report, actually. If it contains a recommendation that requires a motion, the reporting member, if a member of the assembly, should make the motion on behalf of the committee, after presenting the report.
