Guest Edgar Posted October 29, 2011 at 06:50 PM Report Share Posted October 29, 2011 at 06:50 PM I have been told that the Treasuer cannot be the chairman of the budget committee, is that so?Not as far as RONR is concerned. In fact, the treasurer would seem to be a pretty good choice for chair of the budget committee.Ask the person who told you this to show you the rule. He won't find it in RONR. Gary Novosielski Posted October 31, 2011 at 08:22 PM Report Share Posted October 31, 2011 at 08:22 PM I have been told that the Treasuer cannot be the chairman of the budget committee, is that so?Not only is having the Treasurer chair the budget committee quite common, in some societies it is mandated in the bylaws. It is not prohibited anywhere that I'm familiar with, including of course RONR.
