Tim Wynn Posted November 2, 2011 at 05:48 PM Report Share Posted November 2, 2011 at 05:48 PM The president proposed a new benevolent fund that no one has stepped up to chair. Can the executive board manage this? The term "chair" has several specific meanings in RONR, none of which aligns with your use in this post. This adds confusion to the question and possibly the answers. A board cannot chair, and a fund cannot be chaired. However, there is no prohibition on a board managing a fund, if authorized by the organization.
