changing to gender-neutral pronouns in bylaws

A member has requested our ski club's bylaws be changed with regard to pronouns. As written, the bylaws use "he" to refer to the president and other officers. Can these editorial changes be made without amending the bylaws?

It is grammatically correct to use the masculine pronoun in reference to a person of undetermined gender. One assumes that any reader, being literate, is intelligent enough to understand this. :)

The change would require an amendment.
